According to Trojan’s website, 98% of America’s top golf courses use Trojan golf cart batteries!
This site isn’t here to endorse Trojan, but we know a number of golfing enthusiasts who routinely purchase these batteries on account of their reliability if nothing else.
As you may have read elsewhere on this site, there are certain things that you must do to maximise the life of your golf cart batteries, with some of these being:
- Keep water levels correct (fill batteries up regularly)
- Charge in the correct manner (don’t let the deep cycle batteries go empty, ever)
- Don’t drop the battery, as it has components that can be damaged beyond repair, which is a very costly thing to do
Trojan batteries, golf cart batteries in particular, actually include “separators”, which enhance the durability of the batteries. Some courses are very hilly and rough, so cushioning against the impact of such golf courses is critical to make sure the batteries aren’t shattered.
Most other major brands have similar technology but it’s difficult to vouch for them.
